We went to a gingerbread house decorating party yesterday. Maisie didn’t eat as much candy as you might expect but she’s been asking about eating the house ever since we brought it home. Good thing Christmas is only 11 days away. The hosts supplied houses and savoury snacks and guests brought candy and creative ideas. I thought Maisie would spend a long time decorating her house but she was done pretty quickly (and hadn’t done any of the garden so I added that). She seemed to enjoy selecting the candy for each spot and was very helpful at telling me which colours to use for the bushes in the garden. The other highlight of visiting “the gingerbread house”, as she called it, was saying hello to the dogs who were confined to one of the rooms for the duration of the party. We had to go and see them twice before we left.
