Needles: 6.5 mm bamboo
This is just a scarf but I rather like it so I thought I’d put it up. Scarf knitting is especially pleasantand meditative because you don’t really need to worry about gauge or following a pattern or anything as long as you like the stuff coming off your needles.
I got this yarn at the craft fair in early December with the intention of making myself a scarf with it. It was a lovely massive skein at 171 m long and 195 g ... and so wonderfully squashy and soft. It ended up getting a bit buried in my yarn stash after I brought it home and I only found it again when I got out the yarns for Rob’s Firey Rainbow hat. It sat on the armchair for a few days beckoning to me while I worked on other, already started, projects. Last weekend I finally wound it into a ball and cast on for my scarf.
It turned out beautifully. I worked on it nearly every evening this week and finished it after a few more hours this afternoon. I used up the entire skein with only three inches or so on each end to weave in. The little bits of sparkle are not too obvious so they make it kind of special. I’m interested to see how they will show up outside in the sun - maybe my scarf will sparkle like the frost on the trees.
