I have finally got the last of my 2002 pictures into my scrapbook. It was nearly finished just before Christmas but I ran out of the glue I was using and couldn’t get any more of it in town. I ordered some more from an online shop but since it was Christmasit took longer than usual to arrive. It was a lot of fun to finally get my glue and finish my page.
It always takes me a while to get my pages set up to my satisfaction. This year was particularly challenging because I didn’t have a lot of pictures but I wanted to give each little event its own space. I ended up doing stripes with different coloured papers: Miscellaneous, The 2002 Uvic Grad Party, Lunch with Friends, Christmas and Pictures On The Ice Road.
I also had a bit of a challenge figuring out how I was going to put in some of the things that went along with the grad party stuff. I had an official grad picture of my friend Abby with a letter on the back and a postcard with a piece of Abby’s artwork (she got her BFA that year) on the front and an explanation of her work on the back. I ended up making little doors with windows in them; The picture and the postcard are on the front and the letter and the explanation are on the back when you to open the door. This also meant that I got put some hidden pictures into my page which was kind of fun.
Now it’s on to 2003 (which has many more pictures since that is the year I got my digital camera).
