Rob’s sweater now has a front, a back and the cuff of one sleeve. I am still enjoying the fat yarn and large needles. My hands start to get a bit tired after about ten rows but those rows work out to seven or eight centimetres of sweater so it’s still going pretty quickly. Especially on the weekends when I have more crafting time. Here’s the whole thing so far. Just one and seven-eighths sleeves and a collar left!

Here is the first of the Endpaper Mitts. It has actually been finished but for the thumb ribbing for over a month; I’ve been distracted by other projects. On Tuesday I realized that it was still not done and just sat down and knit the remaining seven or eight rounds. I had to look up the bind off instructions because it had been so long since I’d bound off the hand stitches.
Rob and I went out to one of the smaller lakes for a picnic yesterday. The weather was lovely - sunny and warm with a bit of a breeze. We drove out about four o’clock and walked around and enjoyed the sun until it was time to start our fire for dinner. Hot dogs always taste best when you’ve cooked them yourself over a fire. We had all the regular condiments and Rob convinced me to try Cheesewiz as well. I’m not sure if I’ve made up my mind about it yet. I’ll have to try it again another time. We cooked marshmallows for dessert - what is a camp fire without marshmallows!
