A few years ago Ollie ate giant holes into my favourite deep winter scarf. I’ve missed that scarf each winter since and have tried a variety of things to make up for the lack of it but knew all the time that what I really needed was just a new simple scarf just like the old one. When I saw this skein of Tartan mondo yarn in Tanis’s Boxing Day update I decided it would be just right for my scarf. I love the giant ball of yarn it made and it’s marshmallowy soft feeling. At this kind of gauge the colour changes almost every stitch. I’m sure it will felt up quite a bit with use but in a basic scarf that isn’t a bad thing. For some reason it feels best to be knitting this on straights.
