My last 2011 Rockin' Sock Club shipment arrived the week before Christmas. It is a very Christmasy shipment! I don't usually think of pink as a Christmasy colour but it fits in perfectly. The yarn is called "Comfort and Joy" and I smile every time I look at it. How could I not? Besides the usual miniskein the package also included a tiny tin with a vintage Christmas picture on it. Too cute! I plan to use it to store my tiny stitch markers. The plastic baggie they are in right now is seriously lacking in cuteness.
The yarn is Socks that Rock Lightweight so I know the socks it makes will fit in my shoes. I keep going back and forth about the two sock patterns: Joy by A. Karen Alfke and Candied Cufflet Comfort by Clara Parkes. They both have really cool heel treatments and then some other elements I'm not quite sure about. I'd love to be working on Christmas themed socks right now but I also want to finish up the projects that were put on hold when I switched over to Christmas knitting so whichever pattern I pick it will have to wait a bit longer before being cast-on.
Photography was a little more challenging than usual this time.
