A Photo Walk in Burnaby

When I said we had spent the last three weeks in Vancouver I wasn't being very accurate - most of that time we were actually in Burnaby. A couple of days after we arrived I decided to go a for a walk with my camera after breakfast. I wanted to get to know the area a bit and I see differently when I'm thinking through my camera lens.

We went for a hike to Cameron Falls with our friend Katy and her (borrowed from another friend) dog last Sunday. We thought it might be a bit cool and overcast, and sometimes it was, but it was perfect - not too hot, not too bright and with a bit of a breeze. The Fourth Annual Jane Austen Fancy Dress Tea Party

This year's Jane Austen Party was just as fun as usual. Four lovely ladies came to have tea with me - two of them who now live out of town - and we had a wonderful time eating goodies and chattering about anything that came to mind. My sister Jane came over early to help me make all the little sandwiches and Rob took Abby for an extra long walk to keep things calm while everyone arrived.

We got back from our vacation around lunch time yesterday. We had a good time in Edmonton and I thought I would share it as a bunch of pictures. My Day as a Sock

The day began with breakfast. I've started getting plain granola and adding my own dried fruit and nuts according to daily whims. Today was almonds and cranberries but chopped cherries are also high on the list.

It was a pretty ordinary day at work. I'm working on an audit of our library of permit reports. Sounds exciting doesn't it.

This entry is a week late but here are some pictures of our Canada Day cook up.

We all drove out and met up at one of the barbeque spots along Cameron River. The weather was a bit changeable but we had a nice breeze to keep the bugs off and never actually rained so we enjoyed ourselves. This is a short photo essay of our day.
