Not really a new entry - just a better picture on yesterday's subject. This one was taken by Rob instead of me and a mirror. I like that you can see a bit of Maisie this time.

This is how Maisie and I look when we head out for a walk. Maisie is secured to my chest in the Moby wrap and my coat (the big one I was wearing at the end of my pregnancy) is done up over her. The shared body heat keeps us both nice and warm so I don't have to put anything extra on her except for her hat. We've walked like this a few times now - downtown or with Rob and Abby - and it's so nice. Both my hands are free if I need them and I don't have to worry about lugging the bucket seat around or finding somewhere to park the stroller. Rob's taken Maisie out like this a few times too. She seems to really enjoy a brisk walk around the trail with Rob and Abby and she looks so cute when they get home with her bright winter rosy cheeks.

We had an open house to welcome Maisie on Sunday. It was a nice relaxed way of doing things but I still felt she aught to have a cute outfit. I was talking to my mum about what I could make for her (all the cute outfits I have are still too big) and she said she'd see what she had saved from when she had babies. Later that week she showed up with this little dress. It was made for me by my grandmother when I was just a little bigger than Maisie is now. I made a pair of little white bloomers to go underneath and she was all set for a busy afternoon of smiling at everyone (and a nap on Dad's chest).
