Is it Monday already? I've been collecting things to blog all weekend but was so busy (or else so tired from being so busy) the whole time that I never really got past thinking "Oh, I want to blog this". But now I've got some time and I'm just going to mash a bunch of stuff together. There are a few more pictures over on my Flickr.

We said good-bye to Zeke on Saturday. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, even though we knew it was the right choice. He'd seemed a little sicker on Friday night. We called for an appointment, explaining we'd be leaving town in a few days, and they got us a spot at 3:15. We learned that he was actually very, very sick. - A picture of my (very sad) tomato plants and (very awesome) yellow half barrel on the back deck. Taken when I went outside to fill the squirrel feeder on Sunday.

This used to be part of a skirt. A little while ago I spent some time sorting through my closet and pulling out the things I didn’t or couldn’t wear anymore. This skirt fell into the latter category. I think I must have boughtit in grade ten or so and it is hard to believe that I really used to fit inside. I still really liked the fabric though ...

Christmas Toys

Zeke got a new toy for Christmas. A catnip egg roll loosely based on the “Feline dim sum” pattern from Knitty. I had started off making the wanton but it was going to take me too long to knit the whole square so it turned into a half size egg roll (bind offs and decreases meant the knitting would gradually get faster).

Zeke was very curious about the catnip when I got it off the shelf so he got a pinch on the carpet to stop him from crawling into my lap. He seems to thoro...

Getting Ready for Christmas
