Rob's Sweater and Some Random Linkage

I've been meaning to post about Rob's sweater since last weekend but every time I pulled it out to take a picture I thought "I'll just knit a few rows" and the next things I'd know the light was gone and it was time to be thinking about going to bed. Today I did a little better. I pullout of the sweeter and knew I didn't have enough time to get distracted and work on it so I can present you with a picture of the sweater as it exists at the moment.

Ta Da!!

Today I love:

- kittens that sleep for longer than I'm expecting
- hot tea
- the way decreasing round of knitting get faster and faster
- a dish of wash tape and some blank 3x5 cards
- hanging out in the same room as Rob even though we're doing completely different things
- a sky full of dancing aurora
- a dog that lets me know when it's her be...

I spent Tuesday evening winding embroidery floss onto clothespins. The floss is from The Workroom's new online shop - their "City Rain" palette. Off My Camera

Sometimes it's fun to see what I get when I download the pictures off my camera. Some weeks I'll download every evening; others I wait a few days. When I emptied my camera last night there were pictures going all the way back to the 21st.

Just a quick post while we're home for lunch. This is what I saw when I walked around the side of my office building on my way to met Rob. We've been seeing lots of sundogs the last little while but to see the full circle is rare. Can you see the little white flecks near the top of the picture - those are ice crystals. The air is sparkly today.

I don't think I have ever been so grateful for a cup of hot tea.

I've been hanging out in our house, baby-sitting the pipes, for almost two hours waiting for the power to come back on.

Power to the entire city shut off - in an incredible, electronic-frying fade-out - around 11:30. The outside temperature was hovering around -38 but at least it wasn't windy. Since everyone ...
